چکیده

Background: Preliminary definitions for SIJ lesions in the OMERACT Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis Magnetic Resonance Imaging score has been reported 1 . Investigators identified need to revise JAMRIS-SIJ item definitions. Objectives: To update and scoring method. Methods: The JAMRI working group was convened discuss performance of a reliability exercise using 30 patients. Twenty investigators (12 radiologists, 8 rheumatologists) decided which methods be revised, retained or added. Results: revised JAMRI-SIJ is Table 1. Revised JAMRIS-SIJ. Mri of ‘idiopathic’ Juvenile Scoliosis

In a prospective trial we performed MRI of the spine and hind brain in 31 patients with scoliosis of onset between the ages of four and 12 years. In eight patients (26%) there was a significant neuroanatomical abnormality; there were six cases of Chiari-1 malformation associated with a syrinx, one isolated Chiari-1 malformation and one astrocytoma of the cervical spine. Four of these patients h...

Diagnostic Value of MRI of the Sacroiliac Joints in Juvenile Spondyloarthritis

Early diagnosis of spondyloarthritis (SpA) is becoming more important as new medical treatment options have become available to treat inflammation and delay progression of the disease. Increasingly, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the sacroiliac joints is obtained for early detection of inflammatory changes, as it shows active inflammatory and structural lesions of sacroiliitis long before ...

MRI evaluation of clinical remission in juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Results Data of 30 patients were analysed: 26 patients in clinical remission on medication (CRM) (median duration inactive disease 0.9 years [IQ,0.6-1.2]) and 4 patients who achieved clinical remission off medication (CR) (median duration inactive disease 2.4 years [IQR,1.5-3.1]). Thirty percent of CRM patients and 1 of 4 CR patients had > 3 mm synovial thickening, suggestive for active synovit...

Imaging of juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Part II: Ultrasonography and MRI

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis is the most common autoimmune systemic disease of the connective tissue affecting individuals in the developmental age. Radiography, which was described in the first part of this publication, is the standard modality in the assessment of this condition. Ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging enable early detection of the disease which affects soft tissues, as we...

Temporomandibular joint arthritis in juvenile idiopathic arthritis

2015 Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a heterogeneous condition defined by arthritis in children under age 16 at onset, lasting at least 6 weeks, without any identifiable etiology. The last 2 decades have witnessed an explosion of research into therapeutics that have allowed most children with JIA to live normal lives. One joint that has lagged behind is the temporomandibular joint. Long ...
